"The Saga Of The Serpent God" is a prequel as wel as a sequel concept for the Odoric saga. It tells the tale of the rise and fall of the Serpent God : the first wielder of the Black Serpent Sword of Odoric.
The Serpent God lived in a dark age when an all-consuming war raged across the universe. An Ancient race from a mysterious rogue planet, shrouded in dark matter and commanded by an entity known as Payches-Ra, spread across the stars devouring all life in its path. At a time when all the empires of the known galaxy were dying out like candles before the storm, a man known to later generations as "The Serpent God" rose up to stop the advance of the Dark Hordes.
According to legend, The Serpent God wielded a mythical weapon of immense power. The Black Sword of the Serpent ( its ancient name almost unspeakable ) was his main weapon against the Dark Hordes of Payches-Ra.

The background stories and concepts concerning "The Saga Of The Serpent God" were never abandoned and are incorporated into the Odoric saga. There will be references to events from the future and past in the first pages of each Odoric comic book.
