2007 Camping with kids and dogs

We searched for a camping that was about one hour driving from home. In case something would go wrong, we would be home soon then. We went in the direction of Antwerp to The Fort Bedmar Campsite located in De Klinge-Waas (East Flanders), a rural borderland village in a wooded environment in the midst of a magnificent polder landscape and far from busy streets and industry.

We got the tent from one of Stefans colleagues at work. Our own tent which we used to go to Hungary in 1999 became to small for our big family. With this one we had an entrance and three bedrooms. And a covered terrace. Toby & Terry slept in their cages in the entrance, Ann and Zsofia in the room at the left side, Stefan and Eliza to the right and Lazlo had his own private room facing the entrance.

Even though our vacation didn't last very long, it was very fun and the kids were excited. Toby & Terry got a lot of attention and there were lots of walks. Like to the playground...

Fortunatelly there wasn't a "get-up-as-soon-as-you-can" contest between the kids and the dogs so mummy and daddy could have their sleep out. But we didn't wait to long for the first walk in the morning, the so called pyjamas-walk...

The final day came quite soon and the tent was wrapped up. But we would like to unwrap it soon for our next camping-adventure!
