When we travel, we like to take our dogs with us. And that is exactly how they think about it! Of course we can’t go everywhere with them. But that doesn’t mind, we try to adapt us as much as we can. And if we can’t take them with us, they can go on a vacation to the breeder.

I didn't forget my lunchSince they are puppies we realised that Toby and Terry ‘feel’ it when we are about to go away. Surely other dogs have that too. Terry has her own special way to tell us she wants to join us when we go…

Next is a brief summary of the journeys we did with our dogs.

1996 Batsheers – Belgium

If you urge us to stay, we'll stay. On our first vacation with them we went to a farm. There was an old bobtail but that was not a problem. Toby and Terry were very polite and they didn’t bark too much, not even when they were left alone in our room. We had cages for them so they didn’t get the chance to pull down the room.

The owners of the farm were very much charmed by our fluffy puppies. They just couldn’t believe one day they would look like the dogs on the pictures we showed them of full grown Puli’s.

1997 the French Alps

The first ‘real’ journey we did was to France. We didn’t really plan a lot, we would travel south until half our time was through and then return. We got to the French Alps. Toby and Terry (and their boss) saw for the first time in their lifes mountains, glaciers and weir lakes. Wow!

T&T and their boss on a french glacier   Where's the moster? Hey, this is not Scotland, you silly!

We had our tent with us and we wanted to stay as much as possible on campings. We only once spend the night in a ‘Chambre d’ Hôte’. We liked the tent, we planned to do something like that again…

1998 International exhibition in Lissabon. Toby and Terry went to the Gyözedelmes kennel in Haacht. Toby learned that other dogs might also be interrested in exactly the same bitch…

1999 Hungary

This was our second camping trip. This time we had more than three weeks to tour through Hungary. Our ultimate destination was the Hortóbagy Puszta. We wanted our dogs to run and jump over there. But by the time we got there they were so tired (at home they sleep during daytime, when we travel we ‘drag’ them around everywhere) so they didn’t run at all. But they’ve been there! Toby marked his territorium up there!

In Debrecen we also participated in a show (also see the shows.) On Saturday they were the only adult white Puli’s besides some thirthy black ones and as much maskos fakos. The local press noticed it and yes, the day after our own doggies were in the Náplo, the local newspaper.

Of course this was a succesfull journey. Maybe they still dream about it.

Read more about our journey to Hungary on this page.

1999 Ardennen - Belgium

Eight agility-friends on one tree-stump.In December we went on a weekend with some members of our agilityclub. While Prince Filip and Princes Mathilde were marying, we were walking in the woods. And afterwards we had a lot of work on them, cause puli’s tent to gather the flora with them in their coats.

2000 No journey, but a big change in our family: a baby! The bosses (especialy Ann) are home for a long time. That’s absolutely great for the average Puli.

2001 Normandy - France

Travelling with a baby and two dogs in a tent is probably not so comfortable, so we tried out a mobile-home. We only had one week, which was as way too short. We followed the coast via Fécamp and Etretat unto Le Havre and than continued to the Mont-Saint-Michel.

In Normandy Toby and Terry checked out a stone-beach. They didn’t do a lot more than sit for the picture. They prefer sand-beaches…

2001 Center Parcs Vossemeren in Lommel - Belgium

Because  our last trip was very short, we decided to make another mini-trip. We went to a bungalowparc in Lommel. The weather wasn't very good, but we managed to make at least one walk a day with Toby and Terry. And while they were relaxing from that, we could go swimming with Lazlo in the tropical waterparadise.

2002 Brittany - France

Like last year we rented a mobile-home, this time for two weeks. Thus we had more time which was necessary because we wanted to go a lot further.

Toby & Terry had rear-view, which is good because they are used to that in our own car.

First we went to the Mont-Saint-Michel, where we got last year at the end of our journey. We planned to follow the coasts of Brittany and also wanted to go a little more to the south. Our goal this time was the national center of the Poitou-donkey in Dampierre-sur-Boutonne. What we were looking for there (and also a lot of pictures of our journey) can be found on this page...

2003 Center Parcs Erperheide in Peer - Belgium

Because Ann was pregnant of our two sweet daughters, we could not do a big trip. Our previous visit to Center Parcs De Vossemeren was good so we decided to go to another bungalowparc.

In July we became the proud parents of Eliza and Zsofia. Travelling won't be that easy with three kids and two doggies. But that doesn't mean this page won't be updated any longer.

2007 Camping with kids and dogs

After a long time and two trips with only our kids (Toby & Terry went to Brigitte) we dicided it was time to go on a trip with the entire family. We did a small camping-trip. It was a good test to see how the kids and dogs did it in the tent. That was no problem. Read all about it on this page...

2008 Denmark

This summer we all went to Denmark in a mobile-home. We rented this for two weeks and Toby & Terry were happy they could join us.
