We are: A more than 30-year-old leading health promoting organization (°1974) with focus on integrated development. Similar state VHAs are operational in every state of India having its national network at New Delhi. Our Mission: Health for all by year 2015 through community participation. Our Philosophy: Health is the precious possession of all: · Every man, woman and child should be able to choose a healthy way of life. · Health means good habits, good food and good water and a good environment We work … … closely in association with: Government at National and State Level Government at local level i.e. Panchayati Raj Institutes UN agencies like UNICEF, UNFPA, UNESCO etc. Like minded funding agencies Local NGOs and CBOs College and Universities Action Research Institutes WBVHA managed the Health Project in Ging Tea Estate - Darjeeling 2000 - 2001 IIMK supported the relief work of WBVHA: Emergency Aid after Earthquake - Gujarat (01-2001) 2001 WBVHA manages currently the project: Goatery for Sustainable Livelihood Support to SHG - Lalgola 2010 - 2013 WBVHA is a mother NGO, this means that it assists local NGOs in West-Bengal (a.o.
