How everything started :

One decision…. We are going to buy a puppy

Do we know that this decision will dramatically change our lives and have such an impact, because this wouldn’t be our first dog nor the second.

Impact? Much more the start of a new time age for our little family.

Buying a house was a must for us at that moment. The clean and tighty house has to make place for a causy Bernard/Husky-house.

The small grass yard is changing slow but steady into a sand playground.

Car becomes big car, jeep rebuild to light truck.

People we know are being replaced for dog friends, family has to adapt to this new situation.

Hobby’s has to make place for our dogs.

The TV is unemployed en a yearly holiday ?? no no more need to that.

House for sale’ is the next step and buying another bigger house with more room for more dogs.

If we had know what we know now, would we have made the same decision?

Dear visitor : be warned : if you get yourself a Saint or a Siberian, know then that you are getting a virus into your home, a virus that can throw everything you have and love upside down, a virus that changes lives completely, a virus that brings love, loyalty, joy of life, sincerness, honesty, and most of all it opens up your life and re-enforces that time after time after time. This is what happened to us and … to be honest we wish the same thing to everybody.

9 November 2000… our firs dog Zitta. A longhaired female Saint.

Our first meeting wit this breed, all our doubts disappeared by just the way she is (and a big kiss – which drewls you completely wet)

She is simply amazing, sweet and tender and that is why we fell so in love with this breed too (the first love was actually An’s first dog a Siberian Husky).

After a couple of months we decided to give her a companion and so came Alizka, a Siberian.

After a long time of thinking, talking, research on both breeds we decided to go breed and start our own kennel, but unfortunately our so beloved Zitta couldn’t reproduce because of her hips. (read the story in ‘tales’)

We went looking then for another Saint with the same qualities as our Zitta and we found one Bamse, also a longhaired female. On 24 November 2001.  (she looks alike but her character is completely different – also friendly but much more extravert and she is outstanding quality)

Our kennel name was requested "D'Abajomy" , what is saying as much as 'born for luck' in the language of the Indians.

On the 27th of May 2002 I was on the phone with friends of ours that is a Siberian Breeder 'of Cold Nomad's’  and they told me there was a young male dog that had to leave his home and it was a son of their all time champion ‘Arcticlight Tool Time Tailer’.  The owners didn’t want him anymore because of personal reasons. So we went up there the same day to go get our 4th dog Zorak Of Cold Nomad’s, he is truly a born champion. (see his palmares)  The way he recovered from the change in his life in such a short notice, and the way he adapted to his new life style. He changed from a bored, scared locked up dog to a playful and extra friendly dog.

Because of Zorak our love for this particular combination began and for that reason we wanted a female from the same combination.  Luck was on our side because there was a litter planned with this combination and already soon we could go on baby visits. With a little bit of luck again on our side Belamour Of Cold Nomad's joined us on 28th  September.

Then after that the following dogs followed and joined our family : Bertje, a longhaired saints male, he came on 1st of march 2003 at the age of 11 weeks, he was supposed to go to America but in the last minute was cancelled and then we took him in our family.

Our goal in breeding is what it should be like:

- coming from parents, excellent in character, healthy and beauty, and that have the spirit and confidence of their breed.

- dogs that are well raised and socialized to become good pet dogs.

Our pups are raised from the day they are born in our house with us so they see, hear and learn a lot.

Therefore we select their new future parents very carefully so that our pups can continue a very happy and joyful life that they deserve.

The new parents of our dogs are being assisted at ANY moment they need us or our advise. (even if it means getting up at night and drive a long way to our pup)

Through this way we also want to thank all Saint Lovers to whom we thank much knowledge and experience and also Mme Deroucker from Of Cold Nomad’s to whom we thank our great dogs and she was always willing to stand by us and advise us.

An already had a long experience in dogs and is already working with dogs since she was 12, but sometimes you just need that back up from friends and they where all there.

We also assist people with behaving problems in their dogs because we try to study dogs and in special wild dogs, because all behaving goes back to that basic instinct and we can learn from them a great deal. So if you want us to advise you or help you don’t be afraid to ask.
