The bio of Mike Stone
This is not a traditional biography. If you want that, go to his site and piece it together.
I'll tell you how I know the guy. I first heard of Mike Stone on a KISS convention in Zaandam, Netherlands on November 11th.
Eric Singer was attending the convention. This was just before he heard the news that Gene and Paul had replaced him 'permantley' bye Peter Criss (about a year later Eric was back in KISS).
The convention was great. There was a coverband, KISSthis, who sucked and even had the nerve to say Eric wasn't drumming Parisite the right way when he joined them on stage.
After that performance their would be another band nobody was really interested in. It was five guys who didn't wear make-up and called themselves The Torpedo Girls. 'What the fuck is up with that!?' everybody thought.
When KISSthis finished everyboy was ready to go, but all of a sudden there was music coming from an adjescend room. So everybody went to check it out. It were The Torpedo Girls playing 'Is That You?'!
Quickly, other rarely heard live songs from KISS were played; 'Do You Love Me', 'Rip It Out', 'Tomorrow' and many others.
They made the evening memorable. I shaked hands with all band members, thanking them for a great performance. Mike Stone was the rythim guitarist of this band. But I didn't know him by name at this point.
Next time, I'd meet him in person.
Check back for part 2 soon!
