Globetrotters.be is all about traveling to remote corners of our planet.
As a way of extension to these great trips, it's with pleasure to

notitions of my journeys in the West Papua,
South Pacific and Indochina diaries. New ! See the day-to-day diary of my most recent adventure to
Papua New Guinea.

FUTURE TRAVEL AND NEWS UPDATES
Before the count-down starts for my Latin America adventure, I decided once again to return to my all time favourite place on earth Phuket - Thailand. Departure on august 20 - return september 2.
Without doubt, my most adventurous trip that is coming ahead will be a two-month extended tour of Latin America ! It has been quite some time ago since I went to this amazing continent but finally now I can comfirm this most extraordinary journey which will start in Peru and ends in bountyfull Brazil !
While Christmas will be spend in Lima, New Year's eve will take place in the Inca town of Cuzco, celebrating my birthday in Buenos Aires and carnival, yes right... in Rio de Janeiro where I will arrive just in time on friday, feb 12 and stay around for a entire week to fully appreciate the biggest party on earth and according to many travellers the most beautiful city on this planet.
Other highlights during this dazzling two months will definitely include : Macchu Pichu, Lake Titicaca, Lima, Sacred Valley and a jungle lodge stay in the Amazon. To be continue overland by a purposed built vehicle all the way down to Patagonia to visit Torres Del Paine, Los Glaciares National Park, visiting world famous Perito Moreno glacier, El Chaltén, Tiera Del Fuego, the Beagle Channel and Ushuaia. After this, heading towards Buenos Aires again to start for the next leg of the tour from where I will solely use public transport to bring me to Colonia and Montevideo. Then on to Salto, next the Jesuit ruins of UNESCO world Heritage site of San Ignacio Mini. Crossing then into Brazil, we'll reach the magnificent Iguassu Falls which I had previously visited in 1992 (see Brazil section). Next stop will be the city of Curitiba followed by mertropolitan Sao Paulo before reaching the colonial town of Paraty on the Atlantic ocean whereafter the last stretch of road will finally leads me into Rio de Janeiro.
This extensive South America adventure, covering Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil is all set and to depart on december 25 (arrive same day in Lima) 2009 and ends back home on february 20, 2010. I am planning to create a weblog here, where you will be able to follow my daily adventures while I'm on the road.
