We are Stefan, Ann, Lazlo, Eliza and Zsofia. We live in Zeebrugge, a coastal town in Belgium. Here's our story...

In 1995 I worked on a ship, so my wife was often alone at home. She said she wanted a dog. I didn't like the idea but after a while I gave in. But I told her that I would choose the breed (she liked a Beagle).

We looked in a book with the different breeds. When we saw the Puli, we said "Wow, what's this!?! Is this a real dog?!?" We talked about it and wondered if we could find a Puli breeder in Belgium.

We bought a dog-magazine and found the adress of the PPHA, the club for Polish, Pyrenean, Hungarian Shepperds and related breeds. We phoned them and they gave us the adress and number of Brigitte Jonckers, a breeder of white Pulis (nowadays also black Pulis and Komondors). She told us to come and look to the Pulis in real live.

That's what we did. We liked it! When we arrived the dogs all came to the fence to bark at us and once we were in the entire place was full of corded dogs. Brigite had two puppies that were about three and a half months old, a male and female one. After a week we decided that we wanted one of them, but we couldn't choose. Then I came up with the idea to take them both. We were now the proud owners of Toby and Terry Gyözedelmes!

We went to school with them to become obedient. That wasn't too hard, the only problem was the apport (you throw something away and your dog gets it back - I think Pulis are smarter than that). But after a while they got their degree in Obedience.

We also did some shows. Brigitte encouraged us to do that, and we liked it. We especially liked the idea that if our dogs were at a show, more people would learn to know the breed. Our dogs soon became Belgian Show Champions.

We thought the obedience-class was too boring for them and we started doing Agility. That's more fun for us and for the dogs. They got their degree as well and even did some contests.

In 1999 we went to Hungary. We travelled by car and Toby and Terry were with us. We travelled through the whole country for about three and a half week. The headline was a show in Debrecen. They received CAC in Hungary! We were proud!

In the mean time, me and Ann started to learn for obedience-teachers, which we are now. We also followed lessons in dog-behaviour. Finally we went to school to become professional dog groomers. We passed the test and now we are groomers.

In 2000 we became the proud parents of a son. We called him Lazlo, a Hungarian name. Lazlo is a good boy, he likes the dogs and they like him.

The Pulis did some more shows, in Holland and France and now they are International Champions. But they don't mind about that, they like running around on the beach. And they like their Agility and most of all they like being with us. They are great!

In 2003 two little girls joined our family. Eliza and Zsofia now compete with Toby and Terry in making noise. Of course when we take the leaches the dogs make the most noise... Woof woof woof !!!
