Wor(l)ds 2008

During the summer there was a cycle trail from Brugge through Damme and Lissewege to Zeebrugge. 40 huge stones with poems could be seen. On the beach itself Andrew Van der Merwe, a South-African sand calligrapher could be seen.

There were some containers on the beach. By the two closest to the shore Andrew was writing poems in the sand. To do so he uses selfmade tools. According to the weather the result stays some days.

By two containers closer to the sea he made texts that flooded when the tide was high.

Andrew also made texts for the people. We asked him to do the adress of Toby & Terry's website. He had seen them before and he liked them. He was impressed to see how good they could sit still to take the pictures. (Wich is of course not so special, but he seems not to have a lot of experience with dogs).

The result was very good...
