This compilation gathers together some of the best known talents of
the post-industrial sound collage scene. Avant-garde surealists Nurse With
Wound open with a found text, a strange narrative recited over a variety
of strange harmonies, a sense of ambient mysterious electricity. Pleasant
but hardly startling. Graeme Revell (ex-S.P.K.) and Anthony Mannix do something
similar, with a sparser, hollower feel to it. The texts are subtle, poetic
and atmospheric, but how many times can you listen to them ?
