"Birth-card for dolphin Nicky"
For the announcement of the birth of a baby-dolphin Nicky in the Zooligical Garden of Antwerp, a local newspaper organised a compitation: make a birth-card. The mathematical structure for this print are triangles which become smaller and smaller. Each triangle is filled with a dolphin and the letter N. This tessallation has a border limit. The border is an irregular octagon. A price was won for the best computerdrawing! What the jury didn't know was that the complete drawing was hand-made just as all the other drawings.
