Hi and welcome to Bluestrike's singleplayer campain for Half-Life 2
called Awakening.

This campaign consists of a intro and 5 playable levels and it takes
a average player a hour to complete.
NEWS:

PHL spotlight
Planet Half-life has the mod as spotlight on their website.
Another major strength that is worth drawing particular attention to
is the music. The Half-Life series has never been well known for its
musical scores,
often down-playing the need for a full orchestral accompaniment in favour of a more atmospheric tone.
There's really no excuse for you not to play this mod.

1.1 release
Ok this is the final version of this mod.
Maybe I make something better for HL3, who knows.

Anyway bugfixes in this release:
  - Fixed frequent crashes in the last level.
  - Fixed people getting stuck in the teleport room because they shot
    the scanner.
  - Adjusted ending a littlebit so there is a visual cause for the collapse.
  - Adjusted difficulty:
    * Added the magnum weapon.
    * Hard is no longer impossible.
    * Easy is now a walk in the park.
    * Moved around enemy placement in some locations and reduced
      the number of enemy's.
    * Moved some supplies around, added extra supplies as well.
  - Fixed some stuck issues in the last level.
  - Added prop models to level 4. (citadell basement)
  - Varioes small tweaks.

This release is availeble as a installer as well as a zip file.

1.1

I'm currently working on a updated version of the mod with the following
fixes:

- Fixed frequent crash in the last level.
- Changing difficulty level so hard will no loger be impossible.
- Making a installer for the mod.
- Varioes tweaks and bugfixes as far as I am made aware of them.

Release when I'm sure the crash bug is fixed (only for people who
crashed frequently in the last level) but that should be somewhere
next week.

Let me take this oppurtunity to thank all the people who contributed
to this, Spine, Alex Mcgery, Mumle, Tess snider, Robert Ducat and
Matthew Ducat and all the testers for their valueable feedback.

I have updated the media page again to reflect the mod in its current
state and screenshots of area's not shown before.

Nobody likes to be stuck so if you need it, you can find a walktrough
here.

I have setup a forum here.

Delay
Its been more the a couple of weeks now so here is a heads up:
I am currently dealing with a buildcubemapscrash in one level, and
a game crash bug in the last level.

Meanwhile I also greatly expanded tha last level.

So what about a release date?
I hope to have all problems taken care of by the end of April.

New site looks!
I'm about to release this puppy and I tought I could use a better website.

I removed all media and replaced it with new screenshots showing the
latest state of the game, so don't forget to take a look at the media
page!

Also a big thank you for Spine who created this new website design.

Now what about a release date?
It can be any week now, when I'm happy with the result and dealed with
some issues.

Soon?
Time for a long overdue update.
I planned to release this in march 2006 and look we are november 2006
already, tough the mod improved alot during that time.

With some luck I can still release this year.

Media Update
I added 14 new high-resolution screenshots to the media section.
Next update should be the download release.

This has been my little side project for the last 8 months.
Not the most stunning site, but thats not what youre here for right?

In awakening you get a intro and 3 to 4 levels worth 40 minutes of
playtime in a 100 mb package.

And before I forget, A big thanks to HL2files for hosting this website.
