While bands like Clouseau or even worse - Milk Inc.
- fill the Sport Palace the excellent AOR of Frozen Rain is getting
much less attention and that is a real shame! You can't blame initiator
Kurt Vereecke he hasn't done any effort cause the
man already started to work on this album in 2001. There is no doubt
that Kurt is a talented songwriter and musician. That proves the
list of guest musicians who gave Kurt a helping hand.
Tommy Denander (Radioactive), Daniel Flores
(Mind's Eye), Steve Newman (Newman), Ollie
Oldenburg (ex-Zinatra), Jim Santos (Norway)
are all well known names in the genre. In particular Tommy Denander
puts a very strong mark on the 12 tracks. His guitar solos and expressive
guitars sometimes force the keyboards to the background but that
certainly isn't bad.
Ultimately everything goes about the songs which fall within the
traditional AOR-street. So expect here very well made AOR with a
high recognition level. Of course we all have heard this before
but fans of the genre will surely not care about that and in addition
we all have to be proud that a fellow countryman is able to make
such a great album.
