Begonia's, ideal for pots and flowerboxes.
The begonia is a typical plant for outside, who flourishes the best on shady places. The plant needs a lot of water; especially on hot days you have to pay attention on.
Bulb begonia's are produced by seed; an activity done by florists who cultivate these plants the first year. Of some varieties, the seed is so small that we need 20 000 or more seeds for one gram. In February – March, we plant the bulbs in pots in the house or in a greenhouse. Middle May, as all danger of frost is gone, the plants can be bed out in the garden or in a flowerbox on a shady place. From time to time, adds a few manure by the water or use a slow working organic fertilizer. At any time, remove the withered flowers; this stimulates the flowering. The bulb begonia exists in many varieties and colours.
