Stijn Gisquière studied architecture for a couple of years at the Sint-Lucas Institute in Gent, but changed course and graduated in June 2001 as a Master in Visual Arts, with a specialization in graphic design, multimedia and comic art at the Sint-Lukas Institute in Brussels.
In September 2003 Stijn started teaching illustration and comic art at the Academy of Visual Arts in Gent.

After graduation Stijn published comic strips in magazines throughout Europe, while his graphic shorts participated in several exhibitions in Belgium and abroad. In 2003 and 2005 his first two albums, entitled 'Paradise On Earth 1 & 2', came out. The complete 'Paradise On Earth', including part 3, appeared in 2015.
Apart from that, more of Stijn's illustrations, graphics and cartoons were published.

Even more than photography, travelling is a passion for Stijn. An online selection of his travel pictures shows the diversity and beauty of landscapes, people and cultures of more than 60 countries he visited.
