Spitfire excursions

The past years we had a great time with the Spitfire. We did many sunny excursions, mostly with the top down.

Because the car likes curvy and hilly roads, several trips went to the Belgian Ardennes but also a lot of interesting oldtimer meetings and markets were visited.

On request of some organisations I displayed the Spit at oldtimers shows  such as the “Loonse Oldtimers Beurs” in a neighbouring town.

Last summer we traced the old and long track of the Francorchamps Race Circuit and enjoyed a delicious meal in the historic Racing Hotel. It was a real experience riding on the Holowell Straight or driving the Spit trough bends like the Masta Kink.

My other transportations

YAMAHA XV750SE Special / SUZUKI AC

I’m proud to be the owner of my first bikes.

In the early eighties I bought my first custombike and with more than 50 000 km’s on the counter it never has failed. The XV is more than 22 years old now, it still is in completly original shape and it looks like new.

My first moped bike was an orange coloured Suzuki AC which is now in expectation of a full restoration. Over the years I gathered some new and second hand parts, so, even this year I hope to start the restoration.

OPEL GT 1900L

Some years ago I finished  the 10 years extending restoration of my Opel GT. It was my second car after I owned my 1500 Spitfire.  Car is fully restored in every detail and is concours.

JAGUAR MKII

My newest acquisition is a ‘68 Jaguar MKII. Car runs very well but the body needs some attention. I bought the Jag with the idea to restore it as a down payment for my ultimate dream; a Series One Jaguar E-type !

BMW 316

For my daily transport I use a nearly classic car. My 21 years old BMW is a very good car which is cheap to drive, due the LPG installation.
