Steven De Baecke
(flute), born in Ghent in 1969, studied
the flute at the Lemmens Institute of Leuven and the Royal Music Conservatory
of Brussels.
Among his main teachers we can quote Carlos Bruneel and Gaby Van Riet.
He also participated in numerous master classes given by outstanding
musicians, such as Emmanuel Pahud, Aurčle Nicolet and Wil Offermans.
His breath
control, variety of tone colours and technical skills make Steven an excellent
performer with great panache.
Geert Claessens (guitar), is considered by many as one of the finest
guitarists of his generation.
After graduating from the Royal Music Conservatory of Brussels (with
great distinction), he won prizes at the most prestigious International Guitar
Competitions all over the world: Mettmann (Germany 1985), Granada (Spain 1988),
Wallcourt (Belgium 1992), Carpentras (France 1993), Vińa del mar (Chile 1993) and
Mexico-City (Mexico 1994).
In addition to his solo recitals he regularly appears as a soloist with
orchestra, performing all major guitar concertos across Europe.
