The hand wheel itself is a part that is not so hard to make. Because the hand wheel not so great it must provide sufficient grip. This can be done by curling or notching. The slot, with a diameter of 11 mm serves an O-ring. The O-ring tension intended to maintain a certain pressure onto the dial ring so that it is not loose but can be rotated. This O-ring press on the hand wheel and against the inner side of the dial ring. The dial ring should be engraved as shown in drawing 7.
The hand wheel is screwed onto the feed screw. Turn the hand wheel so far so that the feed screw turn smoothly, with as little play as possible. Then lock the hand wheel by a nut. The hand wheel is then clamped on the feed screw.
