Hello to all you flight gear collectors or military aviation lovers!

Thanks for visiting my site!

Something about myself: my name's Mike and I work for the Belgian Air Force. I was trained an engine technician on the Pratt & Whitney F-100-PW-200 which 'drives' our F-16s. I worked at Beauvechain A.F.B. from '86 untill '96: 10 great years! I met loads of interesting people and went to many exciting places! I currently work at the 21st Logistic Wing in Brussels,in a hangar where NDT (Non Destructive Testing) is being performed.

I started  collecting  flight  gear  and flight helmets back in 1988, I now have 10  brandnew 'Bone Domes' and a complete 'Combat Edge' flight suit. Completing this suit took me about 2 years!  It's damn hard finding all the pieces to fit the CE puzzle! Take a look at my CE-page and find out what a CE-setup consists of.

Highlight of my Beauvechain 'era' was flying  backseat in  an F-16! We flew for about 2 hours and performed a complete F.C.F.: Functional  Check Flight. A thrill I'll never forget!

Taken last winter after a 2 hour navigation flight at night with the Agusta A-109. Flying with NVG for the first time is quite confusing: it's pretty hard keeping your eyes focused and your mind on the job! When pilot and co pilot fly, they constantly have to be sure one of them is 'looking in' and the other one is 'looking out'. One's brain needs a fraction of a second to adjust to the in- or outside of the cockpit and for both of them to be looking 'in' or 'out' at the same time could result in confusing moments...

Enjoy the site! Questions? Looking for something? Drop a line!
