I recently got these 'Nuke goggles': I'm told it's used during 'Loft Nuclear Bombing' by F-15 & F-16 pilots. There isn't enough place in their cockpit to stow away the EEK2 Nuclear Flash Goggles: instead they use these. The eye patch is put on in case your goggles don't work properly: 'OK Chuck, have a good flight, and by the way: don't forget to put on your eye patch: should your goggles explode: you'll still be able to bring back your bird with one good eye...'

Its maintenance papers tell me it's quite recent: last update: '92. Can anyone tell me more about these goggles? Give me a sign:
