P. DIONYSIUS MUS: EDICTUM CONSULARE DE AEMULATIONE COMMUNICATIONUM (24/02/2755)

In accordance with Article I.6 of Our Regula Fundamentalis, which states:

"Membership in the Societas Via Romana is not to be sought for itself, simply to belong passively. The Societas urges every member to find specific modes of active contribution for himself in one or more of its institutions. Membership in the Societas is a quest of exploration, an instrument of self-improvement and an offer of service"

I hereby issue the following edict:

1. Regular organised chat meetings shall be held in our confabulatorium:every second Saturday and every fourth Saturday of the month at 10 PM CET. These chat sessions shall be announced a few days in advance by the consules.

2. Each new member of our Societas shall receive an extensive introduction letter, drafted by the censores, containing all necessary information and advice for them to begin participating in the SVR's activities. New members shall also be automatically invited by the aediles to join the SVR Main List and the lists of the collegium/-ia they applied for. Also, they will be automatically assigned a praeceptor by the censores, who will actively guide the new member and answer his/her questions.

3. Members who are inactive for a period of six months shall receive a nota censoris, asking them if they wish to remain in our Societas. If they do not respond after another three months or explicitly express their wish not to stay, their membership shall be terminated after Senate approval.

This edict becomes effective immediately.
