How do I
make my paintings?
Al
my works are made on a heightened table. This
way the material that I use is more accessible to me.
How
do I paint with Acrylics?
My
brushes are somewhat protected at the end with tape.
If I work on cardboard, I let it firstly being treated with caparol.
This prevents that the paint penetrates too much in the cardboard.
For this and to put everything on its spot I am relaying on help.
On an old dish, a piece of glass, plastificated dish or a paint tray, I let spurt my colours. In
the middle, I mix them. I
use small amounts of water to thin the paints if the paint from the tube is too
thick.
A
cloth lies also always in the neighbourhood to wipe off the brush.
Acryl is water bases and dries fast! Consequently, it's important to wash my brushes right after
using them!

How
do I paint aquarelle
?
I
asked someone to put a fattening on the end of my paintbrush.
(with tape or a fattening that is used for writhing)
This way I can control my brush more easily. I use an ordinary water paint-box that is placed on the
height of my drawing. In the box I
let place a little pot with water. To
dry my brush, a cloth is placed beside the box.

How
do I paint
on silk
?
For
this technique I need some more help. I choose a subject, and let it draw by someone with guta, on
a silk cloth tightened on a cadre. (this makes that the paint does not spill
over the lines) To mangle the
colours I also need some help. To
see if a colour is goed, I test it on a little part of silk held aside. Also I
let adapt my brush the same way as when I aquarelle.
I use also the little pot with water and the cloth to clean the brush.

How
do I paint masks
?
Plaster
is poured into a mould of a mask. (mould bought in a shop)
On this I draw a picture in pencil (darken the lines very good).
Over this I paint a layer of white lack (the pencil shines a little bit
thru the lack) On the lack I paint
with special paint for this surface. The
sparkles are applied by holding the tube in my mouth and slowly pressing with my
teeth. A greyish blubber comes out
of it. When it dries only the
sparkles stay visible. The pencil
and the brush are adapted the same way as when painting aquarelles.

How
do I paint with bistre ?
On
the end of my paintbrush I asked someone to put a fattening.
This way I can control my brush more easily.
(Same as when making aquarelles)
I let the woodbistre be diluted in different quantities of water.
This way I get different colour tints.
Further I use the same techniques as when painting aquarelles.

How
do I draw with pencil
?
Just
like the brushes there has been added a fattening to the end of a pencil.
To rub I use an oilpaint-brush. Because
it is harder then a normal brush (To aquarelle or silkpaint) I can easily create
effects with it.

How do I draw with
pastel?
At the end of the
pastel's I let attach sticks. The box is put in this way at my side, that
I can easily reach it to change colours while drawing.

How
do I make lace
?
On
the end of bobbins there have been added a loop in iron wire.
I displace the bobbins by taking them by the loops with a hook.
(A knitting needle that we cut in two and then made a hook on the end. I
let it fatten on the end.) On the
end of every line I need someone to help to put a needle.

This way I can control my brush more easily. (Click
on the images to enlarge them and hopefully it's a littel bit clearer then)
