Main Office...
well, the main office has moved from the 'former offices of F44' in the Bleekhofstraat to
Langstraat 98, a couple of blocks away.

still in quite a bit of a mess due to ongoing 'renovation' and modification - the electrics are taking far longer than envisioned - so that 'public' instances are still not viable... but the nomadic suits us also...
occasionally there is a get together or meeting in the kitchen.
Meeting at gruzemayer's main office kitchenette: double bill with popfigureen and prep for salon-fair... (see fifty fifty page)

(Toni Geirlandt and Emilio Lopez Menchero)
Given that the premises are a lot smaller than the former offices, we restrict our activities there to a minimum, bing mostly administrative.
In fact more than a year on it's still only alf functioning, there is still quite a bit to do, and it does get done, but in bits & fits, so that we're now again ripping up part of the ceiling & walls for the electrics... once you get started it never stops...
We did have a bit of a public moment back in May as a try-out but this only convinced us it would not work on a regular basis.
"ring a trillion bells for dollar bills" was a sound installation with chiming emerging from the basement window...

so, aside from a few working sessions there will probably not be any presentations as such at the main office ( for some time it was deemed possible..) unless at a certain stage a lot of the archive material is moved elewhere...
RECAP
re: the 'former offices of F44 (FOoF44) ' (2007 - 2008)

Research activities taking place at the various 'submersibles' of which P-18 is the the first (Dec-March)
BN-51 the second ( May- July) and OE-29 the third ( August... end of the year..)
the old Pont des Arts ( 1950)
The basic research has been done, at the moment the material is being collated, and there is a certain amount of bending of the parameters going on in order to facilitate the translation to the next submersible, being BN-51... the research will take place mainly in the period May - June, some initial activities have been taking place... more soon
view of the Rhine near BN-51, as part of modular poster publication (summer 08) Some reconoitering and the initial stages heve begun, material collected... (see BN-51 submersible pages)
and OE-29, which is more elaborate than envisioned...
and has a lot more depth and leeway... more in foreseable future
Out & About: backviews
In the meantime a sideline investigation is under way concerning the antics of a grouping called 'Fifty-Fifty' which might be relevant...
this will take place at WOL 33 rather than at the main office of Bureau Gruzemayer

In between ( end of march) we had a small presentation in the office of the chronology-publication "Editorial machinations surrounding an inexistent review 50/50 up and to AK-37" (1986-1996) which had been slated for the end of 2007 but got delayed, as well as experiencing some production-mishaps... a very flawed effort but nonetheless, it is out there now.

recent history of the main office....
The main office situated on the ground floor of Bleekhofstraat 46 was the office of F44 until it's move in late 2006, whence it became 'the former offices of' and has been reconstituted after the last general meeting of F44 (quatorze juillet 2007) as an independent dependency under new management. Though no longer to be considered as the office of F44 it nonetheless has engaged itself to continue some of the outstanding work to the best of it's abilities while undertaking the establishment of it's own identity and program.
This program will not have a broad interaction with the general public, but Bureau Gruzemayer intends to be as open as possible and will engage itself to provide occasional presentations on a small scale. A basement-space with large window to the street will be the main aspect of these presentations in which the bureau will attempt to provide a continuous showcase of current projects, both of it's own and of visiting participants.

There is also a possibility that the bureau will incorporate the backyard as well as the back office for short public presentation during the warmer season, though this has to be organized in concurrence with the other half of the former F44.
