The Rolin Barracks in Etterbeek

LOGO FRATER

The Rolin barracks was at the crossing of the Wavre roadway and Louis Schmidt boulevard in Etterbeek.
Built in the Néo-Tudor style for the War ministry, from 1877 to 1903, this realization fitted in the Léopold II large campaign to build four barracks along the old "army boulevard".

The 5 TTr remained in the Rolin barracks from October 1948 to 1974 and then will settle in the very new Major Housiau quarters in Peutie close to Vilvorde.
The demolition of Rolin started in 1993. Today, a residential real complex has been created on this site.
