In 1985-'86 we decided to start documenting ( the composing of ) our family tree, later on the acquisition of a XT-PC would help us with that task.

In first instance  lotus 123 spreadsheet was used to produce personal & family fact sheets.

During our reserch we came to the conclusion that existing " family reconstructions" offerd a big help for our work However, such a document was not yet available for Denderleeuw. Hoping that others would follow our example, we started writing of the book  "Gezinsreconstructie van Denderleeuw 1700 -1800".

For the second part “Denderleeuw 1790-1905" we used Oedipus II, it is a free, Dutch, genealogy program that contains a drawing function for Generating trees and pedigree charts in BMP format.

The "Gezinsreconstructie of Iddergem 1795-1905" is the last realisation,

Currently, all data is merged into a single Dbasewe are adding data for other timeperiods & communes.

Denderleeuw: parish registers 1602-1700 period, inheritances and assigned accounts.

Iddergem: parish registers period 1689 -1795, lists of outside Poorter, inheritance and orphans accounts from 1500 ...

Welle: parish registers period 1644 - 1905,

In total, our dbase now holds records of 92,000  persons from 30,400 families and more than 670 places
