ENGLISH

Through his work, Georges Matthyssen (July 1944), visualises his thoughts over the world, which centralises human being, each with a unique face. 

This results in realistic, magic-realistic and poetic pastels and oil paintings. The composition is sober and the colours are intensives. Characteristic are the nerves with which the figurative is pulled away out of its well link of perspective and its reasonable structure.

Georges Matthyssen (juillet 1944) visualise à travers ses créations principalement ses idées sur le monde, où l'être humain et son visage, occupent une place centrale. 

Le résultat est magique-réaliste. La composition est sombre et les couleurs sont intenses. Très caractéristiques sont surtout l'audace et l'habileté avec lesquelles l'artiste parvient à sortir le figuratif de sa perspective normale.
