ENGLISH

After graduating Industrial and Environmental design at “Bezalel” academy in Jerusalem I started to work in clay. My teacher and mentor ever since then has been my mother, Hanna Charag-Zuntz.

Archeological influences combined with traditional shapes and forms are incorporated into functional and non-functional body of work, which is mainly wheel thrown.

I am inspired by my surroundings. Local landscape and rugged rock formations, marked by rain, sun and wind become images and designs for pots and surfaces.

Surface treatment is dictated by the shape and character of the piece. I am in constant search of new glazes, since glaze is not a mere decoration, but an integral part of the overall design.
