Synopsis
Advocaat
Sir Wilfred Robarts (Ralph Richardson) neemt de zaak aan van
Leonard Vole (Beau Bridges), een sympathieke man die van moord wordt
beschuldigd. Robarts is ontstemd wanneer blijkt dat Vole's Duitse
echtgenote Christine Helm (Diana Rigg) wil getuigen tegen haar man. Hij
moet alles op alles zetten om de zaak te doorgronden en bewijs te
leveren dat zijn cliënt onschuldig is...
